“Informed Scotland provides a very valuable service with information on forthcoming Professional Learning events throughout Scotland. There are lots of useful events in their listings that I only found out about through their Calendar.”
– Allan Wilson, Information Officer, CALL Scotland, Moray House School of Education, University of Edinburgh

“Everyone involved in Scottish education should regularly check out the Events Calendar and follow @InformedScot on Twitter. Quite simply, it tells you about everything that’s going on!”
– David Noble, co-founder of Radio EDUtalk

“It’s great to see all that’s happening in learning and development in one place. Thanks to the Calendar I am always up to date with current events and never miss anything.”
– Allan Lloyds, Founder, Product Forge

Preston Lodge Learning Festival @ Preston Lodge High School, Prestonpans
Oct 28 all-day

Preston Lodge High School. This year we are once again offering a fantastic range of collaborative, dialogue-based professional Learning Conversations for teachers to explore, share and develop their pedagogy. In addition, we’re opening our Learning Festival up to all parents and carers interested in finding out how they could further support young people in their learning. Our Learning Conversations last for 40 minutes and we suggest that you share your own practice or experiences for approximately 20 minutes and lead a discussion with the participants for the remaining time. Anyone can lead a Learning Conversation, if it’s interesting to you, it will be interesting to others also. Powerpoint is discouraged – we’re aiming for conversations, not presentations. We’ll aim to ensure that your Learning Conversation runs no more than twice to enable you to attend other Learning Conversations also.
