This workshop lasts for a full day and will introduce participants in some detail to the SCQF and the criteria which will determine whether a learning programme is suitable for Credit Rating.  It is designed to support individuals and organisations who are developing, or who already have, a learning programme which they are considering having Credit Rated for the SCQF.

My Skills, My Future Workshop @ SCQF Partnership Office, Glasgow
Nov 15 @ 10:00 am – 3:00 pm

SCQF.

The SCQF Partnership is pleased to be able to offer a one day free workshop for those wishing to use the ‘My Skills, My Future’ suite of resources to support individuals in identifying the skills they have gained from other experiences outwith formal qualifications.

The aim of the workshop is to help advisers fully understand the resources and their benefits to individuals. It also offers the chance to try them out through a series of practical activities including benchmarking skills to the SCQF.

Advisers from a wide range of organisations can then use these resources with individuals over one or more sessions to identify their transferable skills through a series of practical and engaging activities. These skills are then benchmarked against the SCQF to help individuals understand the level of their informal learning.

During this session we will be working our way through the revised and improved ‘My Skills, My Future’ Toolkit.

Based on a review report that was carried out in February 2016, and feedback from focus groups involving industry professionals, the decision was taken to bring to the resource up to date. The essence of the toolkit remains very much the same but the new version has been professionally designed, with the content reviewed for enhanced usability and more meaningful imagery throughout.

My Skills, My Future Refresher Workshop @ SCQF Partnership Office, Glasgow
Nov 23 @ 9:30 am – 1:00 pm

SCQF.

*This workshop is only open to those that have previously attended a ‘My Skills, My Future’ Workshop

The SCQF Partnership is pleased to be able to offer a half day free workshop for those wishing to revisit the ‘My Skills, My Future’ suite of resources to support individuals in identifying the skills they have gained from other experiences outwith formal qualifications.

The aim of the workshop is to help advisers ‘refresh’ their knowledge of the resources and their benefits to individuals. It also offers another chance to work through some of practical activities including benchmarking skills to the SCQF.

On completing this ‘Refresher’ session advisers will hopefully feel confident using these resources with individuals over one or more sessions to identify their transferable skills through a series of practical and engaging activities. These skills are then benchmarked against the SCQF to help individuals understand the level of their informal learning.

During this session participants will be working through the revised and improved ‘My Skills, My Future’ Toolkit.

Based on a review report that was carried out in February 2016 and feedback from focus groups involving industry professionals the decision was taken to bring to the resource up to date. The essence of the toolkit remains very much the same but the new version has been professionally designed, with the content reviewed for enhanced usability and more meaningful imagery throughout.

Linking the Learning Journey @ Radisson Blu Hotel, Glasgow
Feb 22 @ 9:30 am – 4:00 pm

SCQF.

The SCQF Partnership is pleased to announce that we will be hosting a conference in Glasgow on 22 February 2018.

We do not host a conference on an annual basis. The last one, which was an international conference, took place in 2015. A total of 214 delegates from 14 countries worldwide attended the conference. There is always a high level of interest from a wide variety of sectors whenever our major events are announced.

The conference will showcase all aspects of the Framework demonstrating its breadth and flexibility as a tool to facilitate lifelong learning in Scotland and its links with Scottish Government policy such as The Learner Journey, Developing the Young Workforce (DYW), the Commission on Widening Access.
